Mum Kind Product Review and Giveaway

September 19, 2014

I have recently been sent some lovely new products to review from MumKind, the new Pregnancy Nutrition brand helping mums-to-be and new super mums eat more healthily.

Now, we all know that pregnancy and motherhood takes its toll on a woman’s body, meaning they need more of a variety of different minerals and vitamins to help nurture the tiny life growing inside them, sustain the life once its born, and take care of their own needs at the same time.mumkind

Created by experts in the field of pregnancy nutrition and with support from midwives, Mumkind offers a new and simple way to make sure you are including a range of nutrients in your daily diet.  We all know its important to try and eat a healthy, balanced diet, but including Mumkind products will help you to ‘top up’ what you are already eating, because getting everything you and your baby need is not always easy.  All the products are carefully formulated to help provide nutrients where there is a tendency to fall short.

Our mission is to make it easier for women to take care of themselves, and therefore their growing babies, whilst juggling life in the real world.”

So, Mumkind emailed me and asked if I’d like to try some of these new exciting products and of course I couldn’t say no. I was sent 3 of the Water Our Way (WOW) water enhancer and 3 tubs of the Ginger Me Baby Lozenges.

I have 2 pregnant friends at the moment so I intend to give them both one of each too.

Ginger Me Baby Lozenges.

I’m not pregnant. I feel I need to point that out before you read any further (mainly just to stop my family getting too excited) I also don’t have any experience of morning sickness. Perhaps if I had, I would’ve discovered being pregnant with Dexter way before the 5 month mark. However, I have heard a lot about ginger being very good for morning sickness so imagine these would be quite handy. The small tub that they come in is dishwasher and microwave safe, an added bonus for when it comes to the weaning stage.

Each sweet is individually wrapped making them suitable for in your pocket, your purse, your glove box, changing bag or nightstand – anywhere really that you might start feeling a bit nauseous. Plus, because the wrapper is clear, nobody needs to know what they are and so wont be guessing your news early on.
Whilst the ginger flavour is not for everyone (Liam spat his out straight away haha) I quite liked them and chamomile is a nice soothing touch.

Water Our Way – Water enhancer.

Running around after a one year old all day long and then working part time in the evening too, certainly takes its toll and there are days I’m completely zapped of energy. On those days, I ignore the housework and join Dexter in his afternoon nap.  These water enhancers, whilst they aren’t claiming to be a miracle energy drink, do contain essential B Vitamins which help reduce tiredness and also provide a tasty way to keep hydrated. With no calories either, its a great guilt free pick me up for those lazy days.prod3
The pocket sized bottles make them ideal for just popping in your handbag/changing bag so can be added to water on the go. Don’t be put off by its small size either, these tiny bottles actually contain enough to make 10 drinks. I’ve asked a few friends to try them and they all love the berry flavour. Try adding it to a cool crisp glass of lemonade for a bit of extra pizazz!

The guys at Mumkind have also allowed me to run a competition so that you can win some of these delicious nutritional goodies.
