Working from home has its positives. I’m always at home for the children, I can attend all of their school things and I know what they are eating, how they are playing and see how they are learning. But what if I decided to go back to work? How can I find someone that I trust with them? Where would I look for childcare? And how would I know they are the right person for my kids?
This is a sponsored post but all views are my own.
I’ve recently heard of childcare.co.uk – a website on which you can search for all sorts of childcare providers in your area from afterschool clubs to childminders to doulas.
Searching for childcare is easy – just use the boxes to put in your postcode and the type of provider you are looking for and it will give you listings. You can even find nurseries and tutors.
You can then click on the profiles of those that come up in your search results and you’ll find all of the relevant information, DBS and Ofsted checks, whether or not they smoke, drive, have first aid training etc as well as reviews from others that have used that service in the past.
I don’t plan on going back to work just yet, however, if I needed to, or the right job came along – this website is the first place I would go to look for care for my children.
As well as the searchable listings, Childcare.co.uk also has a section full of handy tips from choosing the right nursery to contract information for nannies. It even has pages on the information you should check when meeting a new childcare provider to make sure everything is above board. Childcare.co.uk has over 2 million users and a 4.8 star rating on trust pilot – so it comes recommended from many that have used it in the past! It has also won many awards.
As well as bring able to find many different types of care for your child, Childcare.co.uk also has a job section – this means if you are a childcare provider, you can use the same search tools to find others looking for childcare – great if you want to be proactive or if you know one that you look after is moving on and you have an opening coming up.
Leaving your child in the care of someone else is a tough decision but I feel like Childcare.co.uk would take out so much of the stress involved. Everything you need to know is there – and if it’s not, there is even a messaging function and advise on meeting for the first time.
Do you use childcare for your children? How did you find their carers?
I’d love to know if you’ve used the site, how was it for you? It’s definitely the first place I would go in the future.
